A Spirit In My Midst

He looked bewildered at the ball of light. He had no idea how he knew, but a Kami had found its way into his hands and with this, a great responsibility had been placed on him.


Heh...I decided to redo this image since I was unhappy with the first image I did of the same picture. I also did a different effect for the glowing ball of light, so I hope it looks a little more ethereal. I'm getting better at toning...but not by much. >______>;;

This is just a random original character I did. I think I named him "寛 (Hiroshi)" which means "tolerant" due to his tolerance for spiritual magic. I originally had him out for a manga story, but then put him aside because I felt he wasn't a good enough character.

The Japanese in his speech bubble says, "Kami desu!" which literally translates to "It's a spirit!" referring to the ball of light in his hands.

I think I did a better job with screentoning than my first time...
